Back to Reality

by Austin Seraphin on September 24, 2008

Happy Autumn. I just spent a day and a half watching the Lord of the Rings as I like to do at the beginning of each season. Immersing myself in Middle Earth helps me to deal with the “real” world, if such a thing exists. Today, I woke up, and started dealing with the “real” world right away. Remember the great evil.

I turned on Alex Jones, and listened to him covering the bail out. It astounds me how these criminals will take billions of our dollars to help themselves. Paulson, the head of the treasury, used to head up Goldman Sachs, the sole remaining big bank. How can the establishment claim that someone smoking Marijuana commits a criminal activity while they prop themselves up on our funds? I can only hope and pray that as things get worse, the public will demand an end to the war on [some] drugs.

While ruminating on this, my telephone rang. I heard an automated recording from the Government Lone Center. “Help refinance your home for around six percent. The government wants to help you! Press one for more information.” If the government wants to help us so much, then why do they take our money to help themselves?I came very close to asking them this, but knew it wouldn’t make a difference. Some guy in India doesn’t care. Twenty or so minutes later, my phone rang again. This time, I heard an automated recording for a credit debt relief center. Goddess definitely has ways of sending messages, and it felt very surreal to hear these two recordings in succession while Alex ranted in the background, my sober brain painfully recording it all.

Later, I got an email from Zogby polling, which I enjoy taking. I like to register my opinions, and to write Discordian in the ‘other” religion field. One of the questions said right out: Do you think we should have a North American Union with Canada and Mexico? It says it right there! The television told me it didn’t exist though. Goddess help us! Goddess help the US! Speaking of, watch out for Project Blue Beam. Accept no imitations!
