Tonight, I completed the first trial of Impeachmint Icecream. Of course, Unix geeks number things at zero, so I uphold this fine tradition. Despite initially emailing Ben and Jerry’s, the local co-op only had peach icecream made by Bassett’s, a local company. I must say, they really do make excellent icecream, and if Ben and Jerry’s does not follow up, perhaps I will contact Bassett’s. I timestamped my original idea for a reason.
I used two scoops or so, a half pint, a regular bowl’s worth for me. To this, I added 5-7 little drops of peppermint oil. I give an approximate number, because it may vary. When I say little drops, I mean to put your finger over the hole where the oil comes out, and quickly removing and replacing your finger, instead of just letting the oil pour out. Peppermint oil has a strong taste, so you want to go easy. Start with five and work up to seven, but don’t put in too much. At first, I imagined more of a light flavor, but actually you can let the mint shine a little more than I thought. The result? Delicious! I love Impeachmint Icecream! Try making it for yourself, and perhaps we can work on actually getting the idea noticed by the right people. By the way, I just noticed the double meaning of the word “trial” Very clever if I do say so myself.
