Behind the Curtain, Episode 1

by Austin Seraphin on August 3, 2008

We had a great episode tonight. First, we talked about my idea for an ice cream flavor, Impeachment Ice Cream. Perhaps you would like to tell them you like it too.

Next, we got into some hardcore tech news, including how Comcast has violated net neutrality, then how Google doesn’t care about your privacy.

The highlight of the show came when I delivered an epic rant about accessible technology. I covered some of the history of screenreaders. I then got into the meat of the matter by discussing how Freedom Scientific wants to sue GW Micro over a ridiculous patent violation, and the proof that GW Micro has not violated the patent.

I also played some great trance music, then some somber music from The Fountain, then cheered things up with some Frank Zappa, and ended it on a hard note with my favorite musician, the Aphex Twin. We’ve definitely got the show off to a great start. I feel very enthusiastic about it.

Actually, quite frankly, the commentary is more interesting messages themselves. (Not to insult the author, of course:))

I take it you mean you like the commentary more than the music. Have you ever tried talking for two or three hours straight? Try it some time, and you’ll understand how Rush Limbaugh got hooked on oxy! haha, thanks for listening though. I have plans to improve the show as time goes on, with more great content, so stay tuned!
